Our hygiene team would like to thank all our patients for your patience and understanding in these uncertain times, whilst we must postpone all routine treatments until safe to resume.
We would like to offer you some oral hygiene guidance to help you keep on top of things at home until we can see you again for your routine care.
1/ Brush your teeth, gums and tongue for at least 2 minutes twice a day, last thing before bed and another time of day
2/ Use a fluoridated toothpaste to reduce the risk of tooth decay (remember, spit don’t swallow!)
3/ Clean in between your teeth daily using interdental brushes, floss or easypicks- this helps to keep teeth and gums healthy by removing bacteria that your toothbrush can’t reach
4/ Replace your manual toothbrush/electric toothbrush head every 3 months, interdental brushes after 3-5 uses and floss after every use
5/ Using a fluoride mouthwash before brushing or another time of day can help freshen breath and protect teeth
6/ If you notice any bleeding on brushing or cleaning in between your teeth, give this area a little more attention and the bleeding should stop within a few days
Most importantly remember to stay safe and we’ll be back to see you soon.
